.Many sports pundits have raised eyebrows about the quantum of money estimated for the Black Stars to embark on the AFCON tournament and World Cup qualifiers.
Their argument has been that Ghana has been participating in these tournaments with absolutely nothing to show for same.
The state has spent millions on the Black Stars all in its bid to win trophies for us. These much sought-after trophies have so far eluded us.
These have formed the basis upon which many people are dead against the budgetary allocation for the Black Stars.
As legitimate as these concerns are, there is still one key issue that needs a resolution. With our lack of success at these tournaments, we need to find a way out of the same.
The question is, what do we do as a nation to change our draughty campaigns as far as AFCON is concerned?
There is a need for stakeholder engagement over this matter. There are scattered opinions about how to move over this hurdle.
It is about time these ideas were consolidated to better our football as far as the Black Stars are concerned. Until we get a grip on this, we shall continue to groan and whine about the Black Stars.
