Information reaching the desk of your authoritative news portal disclose that, Coach Bashiru Hayford nears Legon Cities exit as his performance has nothing to offer hope to the club hierarchy. The Royals are currently battling relegation due to their unconvincing outings match after match.
After match day 22, the Legon based outfit sit 16th on the Ghana Premier League table with 23 points, behind them is King Faisal FC and Inter Allies FC.
The club in the coming days, will announce the appointment of unattached Maxwell Konadu since talks between the two parties have advanced so well. Legon Cities defeat to Asante Kotoko SC on Saturday was the last straw that broke the camel’s back on Coach Bashiru Hayford.
Konadu will be the third trainer to handle Legon Cities this season after Goran Barjaktarevic was fired in the early days of the 2020/21 league season for Bashiru Hayford.
Forty-three(43) year old Maxwell Konadu has previously managed Wa All Stars now Legon Cities, Black Stars ‘B’ and Asante Kotoko SC. However, he is unattached after leaving the Porcupine Warriors in December last year due to poor performance.
