Ghanaian speedster Julius Nii Konya says he is eager and ready to mark his debut for Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics this weekend.
The 17-year-old who joined the Dade Boys in the second transfer window from Lower tier side Mountaineers FC has been training intensively for his debut game in the country’s topflight.
Konya joined the Ghana Premier League side on a three-year contract following successful negotiations and is expected to improve the side’s upfront with speed and pace.
He has been training with the first team where he has three goals and an assist in five friendly games. Konyah is expected to make his first appearance for Coach Annor Walker when they travel to face WAFA in their matchday 23 fixture on Friday in Sogakope.
Speaking to Kolog Bonaventure in an exclusive interview ahead of their game against WAFA, Julius Konyah said it will be a very great moment in his career to mark his debut for the Blue and White lads.
“This is a very great moment in my career and I hope for nothing but the luck to prove to the world my worth talent within”To play in the Ghana Premier league at my age, deal with a lot of pressure especially Great Olympics”
“It’s a very great club with large crowd supporters” But I’m hopeful I will do my best in the game”I want to assure the fans I’m ready for this big challenge”, he added.
“I am 100% ready for this test and it’s my dreams to be on the top level ever since I joined Olympics”, Julius concluded.
