The GFA Disciplinary Committee has announced its decision on Bofoakwa Tano’s protest against Unity FC.
After weeks of sitting and findings, the Disciplinary Committee has declared Bofoakwa Tano winners of their Division One League match day 20 against Unity FC. The former Ghana Premier League side filed a double case against Kenyasi based Unity FC after they presented Nana Yaw Mustapha as the head coach in their match day 20 encounter when he holds no qualification to handle a Division One League club per the GFA rules and regulations.
Also, they filed a case against Club President Richmond Osei who was on the bench of Unity FC and in the inner perimeter.
In Bofoakwa protest, Richmond Osei has been banned by the Ghana Football Association from taking part in all football related activities for a period of five months and does not warrant a place in the inner perimeter. Aside that, his fined of GHC 10, 000 has not been paid yet.
Upon the committee findings, they declared Bofoakwa Tano winners and awards them with three points with three goals in accordance with article 33(2) of the GFA Division One League regulations.
Unity FC again have been fined GHC 2,500.00 of which 50% will be paid to Bofoakwa Tano.
An amount of GHC500.00 will be paid by Unity FC as transportation expenses of the away team.
