King Faisal striker, Kwame Peprah has named Ghanaian icon Asamoah Gyan and former Arsenal striker Thiery Henry as his ‘idols’ while growing up.
Peprah revealed he grew up watching legendary footballers, Asamoah Gyan and Thiery Henry, which inspired him to be in their shoes one day.
“My idols are two, Asamoah Gyan and Thiery Henry. I saw my style of play similar to theirs so I had to study them well and walk in their footsteps to better my football career,” he said in an interview with Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
Thiery Henry and Asamoah Gyan are widely considered as one of the greatest football strikers to have graced the green turn.
Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer and Africa’s highest goal scorer in the history of the FIFA World Cup while Henry is Arsenal’s all-time leading scorer with 228 goals.
The 20-year-old has rocketed to fame after scoring 12 times in Ghana’s top tier in the just ended Ghana Premier League season, providing 10 assists and 7 MVP awards in 29 games.
