Former Asante Kotoko player, George Yamoah believes Hearts of Oak will be a mere participant in the CAF Champions League (CAFCL) next season.
Hearts won the 202/2021 Ghana Premier League season and thus will qualify to represent the Nation in the CAF elite inter-club competition.
The One time CAFCL winners were dominant in the last lap of the season and as a result won the domestic double, beating Ashanti Gold in the league cup finals.
According to Yamoah who is now the pastor of Power Giant Embassy, Hearts is Oak will achieve nothing significant in their African campaign.
“I don’t want to discourage them but the truth is they might not even reach the money zone. They can try to at least gain some experience for next season or the years to come. But for this year am not sure. Looking at the level of Al Ahly and the South African clubs, we are not there yet.” He told Kessben FM
