Hearts of Oak have reportedly left out midfielder, Abdul Manaf Umar from the squad list submitted to CAF ahead of their Champions League season.
Manaf was a key figure in the club’s quest to end their 12-year wait for Ghana Premier League(GPL) title significantly during the first round.
However, he fell off on the pecking after coach Samuel Boadu took over the club in the second round.
The Phobians at the moment are yet to officially announce their squad for Africa.
Nonetheless, the club is said to have omitted the 27-year-old from the squad due to technical reasons, according to Phobia Fans Zone HQ.
Also, further reports indicates that midfielder Abdul Nurudeen Aziz who is currently under rehabilitation was not included.
In the same vein, Daniel Kodie who is under rehabilitation was also left out of the squad.
Potential signing, Konadu Yaidom failed to finalise his deal with the GPL Champions on time to make the list, although the player has had his medical and has agreed personal terms already.
Hearts of Oak after a long absence in CAF’s first tier competition will officially make their return in September as they face CI Kamsar from Guinea.
The Phobians will travel to Guinea between 10th-12th September before the return leg on 17th-19th.
