Ghana Premier League side Karela United are closing in on a deal to sign former Ghana U-17 and U-20 player Samuel Atta Mensah.
Mensah was named among the 60 best young talents in World Football by British daily, The Guardian after his excellent performance with the Black starlet in 2017.
He played for Dunkwa United and Wa All Stars before heading to Uruguay where his proposed deal to Club National De Football hit a snag due to the corona virus outbreak.
He later moved to Argentine soccer side, Club Atlectico Colon in the Argentine Clausura.
The 24-year old was part of the Wa All Stars team that won the Ghana Premier League in 2016 and was also a member of the Ghana U-20 squad in 2018.
The young striker has already started training with the Passioners who just resumed for the Pre-season training ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana Football Season.
