Dreams FC all the way from Dewu hosted Kumasi Asante Kotoko at their adopted venue Accra Sports Stadium in the GPL Match Day 1 action.
The game was a season opener for both teams and the second game of the campaign following the opening liner between Accra Lions and Elmina Sharks at the same venue.
Both sides were highly optimistic winning the game after making new signings prior to the the start of 2021/22 GPL season.
The effort of both sides was not enough to register a goal in the first half.
It ended 0-0 in the first 45. Fatawu Issahaku made his Premier debut for Dreams FC in the GPL with a historic performance.
The goalstoppers of both sides were widely stretching their arms to deny their opponent a goal in the first department of the game.
The second half bounces back with the lads putting more pressure on the Porcupines Warriors.
It was historic for the lad, Fatawu Issahaku as he dances his way through the defense of Asante Kotoko and follows with a calm tap in to the net to give the home side the lead after the 63rd minute.
Asante Kotoko stood on their grounds seeking for an equalizer until Mudasiru Salifu’s goal on the 85th minute.
Kotoko came from a goal down to win the game with a thunder strikes from Isaac Oppong and Richmond Lamptey.
Kotoko will host Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their second game whilst Dreams travel to play Elmina Sharks.
