Asante Kotoko SC manager, Prosper Ogum Narteh has lauded youngster Isaac Oppong on the latter’s impact in Kotoko’s emphatic win over Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Oppong climbed off the bench to score and set up two goals on his Ghana Premier League debut to aid the Porcupines a 3-1 comeback win over the Still Believe lads.
The 18-year-old was subbed on for the last 10 minutes of the game.
The quick feet wide man on the 86th minute had an instant impact where he set up Mudasiru Salifu who drilled in low shot to restore parity for the Reds.
Isaac Oppong then put Kotoko in front on the 88th minute with a half volley inside the box to score what is his debut goal.
The youngster set up Richmond Lamptey who fired from just behind the box to wrap the win for Kotoko with the last kick of the game and also complete a memorable comeback on opening day.
“Isaac Oppong obviously changed the game when he came on. He has a very bright future ahead of him and he will do well for the club.” Prosper Narteh said after the game
Asante Kotoko will host Bechem United on matchday two at Baba Yara Stadium on November 6.
