Coach Yussif Bassigi has revealed his readiness to meet any of the Group B teams they will lock horns with in the semi final stage of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Coach Bassigi makes history with his ladies after going unbeaten in their group stage matches.
They won by 3-1 against Malabo King in their group opener followed by 3 nil win over AS Mande before they held 2-2 draw with Wadi Degla today.
In a post match interview after the 2-2 draw with Egyptian side Wadi Degla, Coach Bassigi stated, “I anticipated that we would encounter a very difficult match. I remember their coach told me that this was going to be a very good game, which meant that they have studied us. I respect the Egyptian team because they played a very tactical game, but my players had the experience and determination required to qualify”.
“We did not start well in the first half. In the second half we tried to get hold of the ball and play. No matter how the opponent will have against my team, I always have a plan B”.
“I want to meet any of the teams of Group B. I’m ready for any of them, and I studied all of them”.
The 2020/21 Ghana Womens Premier League winners will meet any of the two teams that qualifies from Group B teams of the competition in the competition.
