Reports from the camp of GPL giants Accra Hearts of Oak indicates that the club will not return back to Accra after the 2-0 defeat to Ashanti Gold in the GPL Week 4 until their game against JS Saouara. ghanasportspage.com can exclusively confirm.
The club will arrive in Cape Coast any moment from now with 24-man squad but other three players will join later to make it 27 to prepare for their CAF Confederations Cup first league encounter against Algerian side JS Saouara on Sunday, 28th November 2021 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak were dropped from the CAF Champions League after a humiliating 6-2 aggregate scoreline against Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club while Saouara progressed to the playoffs stage of the Confederations Cup.
In the first league, Hearts of Oak picked a narrow win over WAC but were defeated by 6 goals to 1 in the second league held in Morocco.
Hearts of Oak drawn their opening three games in the ongoing GPL season following the defeat to WAC before loosing 2-0 to Ashanti Gold over the weekend.
Hearts of Oak will need to rectify things before they go into an epic encounter against JS Saouara in both legs, either than that they will loose their spot in the group stages of the CAF competition.
