Ghanaian leading sports site, ghanasportspage.com can exclusively confirm that the football federation in Malaysia is trying their best to hand ex-Wassaman attacker, Jordan Mintah a playing role in their national team. The 26-year-old goal magician confirmed the news to this noble website.
After touching down in Malaysia since 2020 the 26-year-old attacker has shown a magical performance and even won the ‘Golden Boot’ after the 2020/2021 Malaysian League this season with 16 goals in just 12 games.
Mintah played for two different Philippine clubs before his move to Malaysia in same continent (Asia).
The knack attacker has impressed the football governing body in Malaysia and with the massive performance demonstrated has pushed the federation to hand him a playing role at their senior national soccer team but the player insists playing for Black Stars will be the best.
Talking to Tawiah Martin, the CEO of ghanasportspage.com, Mintah disclosed, “I am really ready for Black Stars and it is my dream. Even the Malaysians are trying to naturalize me to play for them but I just want be in the colours of my country.
“Is very sad that we those in Asia are not getting the call-up but not all the Ghanaian players can play here because the Malaysian League is not easy only three foreigners are eligible to play in each team and they want the best so imagine if Asia is like Europe how will the players survive?. He added.
“They only choose three best foreigners outside Asia and only one Asian so imagine my performance. He concluded.
