The president of the Cameroon Football federation, Samuel Eto’o Fils, has sent home a number of workers of the institution who arrived late this Tuesday.
Though we can’t state with certainty, CFoot.com is reporting that a number of workers who arrived office after 8AM this December 14 were not allowed into the Federation’s premises, on instructions from president Eto’o.
The recently-elected FECAFOOT boss who we gathered arrived office at 7:30AM had expressed his disgust about late coming during his first contact with the institution’s employees on Monday, during his first contact with the staff.
“Work starts at 8AM and ends at 4PM. Every employee must contribute his quota in this team,” the Indomitable Lions all-time top scorer and double AFCON winner reminded the workers during his stop at the office on Monday.
Unfortunately for some of the workers, they arrived their workplace after the 8AM this Tuesday.
These workers have been told to return home while the rest of the staff including Eto’o get busy with their regular commitments.
President Eto’o had a busy Monday crisscrossing different institutions to discuss the future of Cameroon football, in addition to visiting the FECAFOOT headquarters under construction in Odza.
The outgone president Seidou Mbombo Njoya is expected to officially hand over to president elect Eto’o within four working days after which the 40-year old ex-Indomitable Lions record man can truly set his plans in motion.
Eto’o is the 17th president of FECAFOOT and only the second retired professional footballer to lead the institution, following the steps of another ex-Indomitable Lions skipper Pascal Owona Baylon.
Eto’o, once of Inter Milan and Barcelona has as objectives to better the image of Cameroon football which obviously starts with having a disciplined staff.
Eto’o, his four vice presidents and the rest of his administration have as first big fish the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations Tournament on home soil in January-February 2022.
