Ghana suffered a narrow defeat to Morocco in the Group C opener of the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, and axed star of the Black Stars has taken to social media to seemingly tease coach Milovan Rajevac for excluding him from his final squad for the tournament.
The 2010 World Cup super star for Ghana, Kelvin Prince Boateng took to twitter moments after Ghana’s defeat to Morocco to react to the situation, in a comment that seems to bemoan the loss and at the same time question the coach’s decision not to hand him a call up this time around.
“Ghana #shouldhavejustcalledme“, the 34-year old forward wrote on twitter. Kelvin has for the past years demonstrated much love for Ghana ever since he opted to represent Ghana at the national team level ahead of Germany, where his brother Jerome Boateng opted for.
Despite the seeming sarcastic tweet, the Hertha Berlin striker indicated his support for the Black Stars, wishing them well to go all all out to claim all three points in their next game against Gabon next Friday, January 14.
As part of his support, he wrote, “next game 3 points let’s go black stars” (represent the stars with a star imoji).
Kelvin has earned 15 caps for Ghana, scoring two goals.
