Accra Hearts of Oak will welcome their city rivals Accra Great Olympics today at the Accra Sports Stadium in a tough-and-tumble week 16 GPL encounter tagged as Ga-Mantse Derby.
The title holders, Accra Hearts of Oak are expected to snatch a win that could see them climb into the top four for the first time this season, while Olympics eyes to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.
It is the first time the two sides will be locking horns this season.
The Rainbows will battle as a revenge after giving out four points to their rivals last season as they lineup with their new signings Denis Korsah and Sulley Muntari who joined the team last week.
On other side, Olympics will line-up with the Abbey brothers. Maxwell Abbey Quaye has grabbed seven goals this season for the Dade Boys.
The duo have impressed coach Annor Walker with a scintillating performance. Ashie Quaye rejoins the team after failing to sign for FC Basel in Switzerland.
Only one point separate the two sides on the table. Hearts are on the sixth place with 23points as Olympics sits seventh with 22points.
Head To Head
Hearts of Oak have won seven of their last thirteen meetings. Great Olympics have won only two games against the Phobians since 2006 with four draws.
