Legendary Ghanaian Football coach, J.E Sarpong has advised the Ghana Football Association and the Sports Ministry to collaborate for the sake of the Ghana national teams.
There has been a controversy between the FA and the Sports Ministry since the appointment of Milovan Rajevac and even after his departure following an abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the just ended AFCON in Cameroon.
On Monday, February 10th, 2022, the GFA appointed Otto Addo as a new Black Stars manager ahead of Chris Hughton who was named as Technical Advisor to the newly constituted Black Stars Technical team. Before the announcement, the GFA and the Sports Ministry were not clipping the beak together.
Coach Sarpong in a conversation with Isaac Ganyo Tamakloe of ghanasportspage.com advised the two bodies to collaborate and work as one body following the appointment of the new gaffers ahead of the Nigeria doubleheader.
“There should be some collaboration between the GFA and the Sports Ministry. They should work together as one body.
“The country doesn’t belong to anybody but it belongs to all of us so we have to choose the best so let’s see what will happen in the coming days.” He said.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first encounter of the World Cup qualifiers play-offs before the second leg in Abuja.
