Nigeria grabs another booster for Ghana clash with a national switch of Leicester City’s attacker

The world’s football governing body FIFA have approved Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman’s nationality switch from England to Nigeria.

Since Lookman has not been capped at competitive senior level for England, he is eligible to feature for Nigeria as early as their World Cup playoff game against Ghana.

The Super Eagles did not ended up with their AFCON journey as they expected after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Tunisia at the knockout stage.

They were the only side to win all their three group games at the recent AFCON to progress but failed at the knockout stage.

Currently, they are trying to get Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Odion Ighalo back into the team ahead of the double-header against Ghana.

The 24-year old attacker, Ademola Lookman has scored 3 goals for the English side this season in all competitions.
