Head coach for Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu has stated that his boys couldn’t take control or play their normal game against Hearts of Oak due to the quality of the pitch.
Legon Cities hosted their city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in an entertaining week 18 encounter which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Hearts were first to take the lead in the first half courtesy Isaac Mensah’s eleventh minute strike but Legon Cities mounted a last minute pressure to restore parity with Osman Amadu’s magic goal.
Aftermath the game, coach Maxwell Konadu has lamented over the state of pitch.
“The pitch didn’t allow us to play our normal football, Hearts of Oak stared very early but I think it’s a very fair results, however El-Wak is our home and we are going nowhere.” He stated.
Legon Cities will tackle RTU in a week 19 encounter of the Ghana Premier League at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
