The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) is on course for the organization of the 2022 edition of the Ghana President’s Cup match between Ghana’s biggest football clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra sports stadium.
Spectators willing to watch the game from the stands in the stadium can now prepare for how much to pay for their match ticket fees, with all prices below GHC100.00, with ticket prices ranging from as low as GHC20 to GHC70.
The tickets for seats at the popular stands are selling at GHC20 while those at the Osu side of the stadium are going for GHC50. Spectators who would prefer a VIP treat will have to pay GHC70 for the lower VIP seats for their own comfort.
We gather, reliably, that the Upper VIP session seats would not be sold out to the public. It is expected that the sitting President in whose honour the ceremonial match is going to played, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would be at the stadium to grace the occasion, a reason why the Upper VIP session where the Presidential Box rests is reserved.
On the prize money, both Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko will receive appearance fee of GHC50,000 each, a token for their transportation from the respective camps to the stadium as well as a 25% share of 50% of the gate proceeds to come on the day.
GHALCA, the organizers of the competition would take home 50% of the total gate proceeds, while the two participating teams would also share equally, the remaining 50%.
The 2022 GHALCA sponsored President’s Cup will come off at the Accra sports stadium on Friday, 4th March 2022 at 6:00pm local time.
