Former captain for Accra Hearts of Oak who also played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, Samuel Nzemaba has made a big revelation behind a Super Clash between the two rivalries that favors the Rainbows.
According to him, the Phobians have different strategies whenever they are playing against their sworn rivals.
The two giants will be squaring off on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium in a GHALCA President Cup. The titanic encounter which has seen much talking has hit the four corners of the state, considering the performance of both teams in the ongoing premier league campaign as Kotoko showing up an unimaginable performance to cement the lead on the GPL table.
Nzemaba, the former Phobians captain, revealed in an interview with ghanasportspage.com that it is not easy for Kotoko to pick a maximum against Hearts in a Super Clash whenever the Porcupines are on top form during his time at both clubs and in the recent games between the two sides.
“To me, it won’t be easy on Friday. Both teams were held to a stalemate during the league match so the expectations for the upcoming President Cup will be high concerning both teams to win. He stated.
“You know is difficult for Kotoko to beat Hearts when they are on top form but it is easy for Hearts. Kotoko is on top form this season but it is easy for Hearts to beat Kotoko simply whenever they are on form, that’s what I saw during my playing time for both clubs. Any team that takes this game seriously will win.
“We always struggle to beat Hearts. Is not easy because Hearts of Oak are having some strategies to distrust Kotoko from winning a game against them. Sometimes they come to the field without ball boot(s) and do other things so that Kotoko will push their attentions to it and that’s the strategy they have.”
Before the game, His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo will be at the venue for ceremonial kick-off and to honor the players with medals after cracking the encounter.
