Aduana Stars rallied to what they describe as a “revenge” against King Faisal after beating coach Nurudeen Amadu’s men by a solitary goal margin to claim all three points in their premier league Matchday 19 encounter in Kumasi on Sunday.
King Faisal traveled to Dormaa in the first round of the league to subject Aduana Stars to a humiliating 3-1 defeat at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, and the ‘Ogya’ lads had been targeting a revenge which they successfully got on Sunday by beating King Faisal 1-0 at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
The Ghana Premier League’s second highest scorer of the current campaign, Bright Adjei put the visitors in the lead as early as 5 minutes into the first half of the game, and the result remained same till the final whistle. However, the victory didn’t come without controversies as Bright Adjei appeared to be at an offside position at the time ball was kicked to him for his goal, and King Faisal coach Nurudeen Amadu has complained bitterly after the game.
King Faisal also are alleging that centre referee Daniel Layea denied them a penalty, a decision which they believe changed the results of the game.
