Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has returned to training after he missed out on the game against Aduana Stars last Sunday due to light injury he picked against WAFA last Wednesday.
Muntari missed out on the trip to Dormaa last weekend in the Matchday 20 fixture against Aduana Stars, which sparked wild speculation in the media landscape and on social media, claiming the midfielder’s absence from the traveling squad was as a result of his personal decision due to long journey to Dormaa. The speculations compelled Hearts of Oak to issue official statement to clarify the condition, saying, he had rather picked up a knock in the previous match.
“The decision to exempt Sulley Ali Muntari from the game against Aduana Stars is based on medical advice after he picked a knock in our previous game and not his personal decision as is being speculated”, Hearts of Oak said in a statement on Friday.
Muntari returned to training on Tuesday morning with Hearts of Oak squad at the St. Thomas Aquinas Park. He participated fully in the training with the group as the team begin preparations to host Ashanti Gold Sporting Club on Sunday in match week 21 fixtures of the league.
Observations and findings of ghanasportspage.com indicates that the former Inter Milan star is in good condition, and looks more positive to be fit for the game against the Miners on Sunday.
