The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that it has rescheduled the premier league match day 21 fixture between King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea scheduled to be played at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
This has been necessitated by the fact that the Black Stars of Ghana are scheduled to host Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the same venue for the World Cup Qatar 2022 playoff.
The Baba Yara sports stadium has been approved as the newly chosen venue to host the World Cup playoff between Ghana and Nigeria after the stadium was inspected this week by a CAF inspector, following the rejection of originally chosen Cape Coast stadium due to low quality of the pitch there.
The game between King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea was originally scheduled for Sunday, 20th March, but has now been pushed forward to pave way for the FIFA World Cup qualifier. Ghana will host Nigeria for the first leg of the playoff on Friday, 25th March, 2022 at the Baba Yara sports stadium at 7:30pm. The stadium is therefore closed to all other activities until the playoff game is over.
From the new development, the GPL fixture between King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea has now been moved to take place on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at 3:00pm.
