The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced key dates scheduled for the end of all GFA organised competitions for the ongoing 2021/2022 football season, which reveals the current football season will end in June.
In a publication by the FA on Friday, the country’s football governing body announced that the 2021/2022 football season is scheduled to end on on Saturday June 25, 2022. This is the set date on which all the five competitions under the GFA – the Ghana Premier League, the Women’s Premier League, the Women’s FA Cup and the MTN FA Cup will end, climaxing it with the MTN FA Cup final.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) season will see the champion, (likely to be the defending champions, Hasaacas Ladies) crowned on May 28, 2022, which will be the first competition to come to an end in the season. This will be followed by the Women’s FA Cup final which has also been scheduled for the weekend of 4th /5th June, 2022.
Following the Women’s competitions will come the National Division One League, which will also wind up on the weekend of June 10-12, 2022.
The entire season will be climaxed with the Ghana Premier League (GPL) and the MTN FA Cup, with the GPL set to end on June 19, while the MTN FA Cup finals climaxes the season on June 25, 2022.
