Ghana midfielder Edmund Addo has been ruled out of the game against Nigeria both in Ghana and the return leg in Abuja, after he is said to have aggravated an injury he picked at the club side over the last weekend before arriving for the national assignment.
A MRI result shows a tear in one of his thigh ligaments, and he is expected to leave the Black Stars camp for Moldova to join his club for further treatment. The FC Sherif midfielder has been ruled out the games against the Super Eagles both on Friday in Ghana and Tuesday in Abuja, Nigeria.
Addo picked up an injury in Sheriff’s game against Gheorghe last Saturday, and got it aggravated later on. Reports are that he was asked to sit out Wednesdays training with the Black Stars which he did.
The Black Stars will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, 25 March for the first leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off before traveling to Abuja for the second leg on Tuesday.
