Black Stars interim Boss Otto Addo has named Accra Hearts of Oak left-back Dennis Nkrumah-Korsah on the bench in his starting line for the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifier first leg against Nigeria.
Korsah, the only representative of domestic league in Ghana’s 27-man squad for the double header against Nigeria, will have his international debut delayed as he learns to adapt to the atmosphere even though it’s not beyond him.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs captain will wear the jersey number 12 for Ghana, and will hope to have some minutes should coach Otto Addo decide to substitute Gideon Mensah or any other player for Korsah’s introduction should the circumstances call for it.
The famous number twelve jersey has been worn by goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi during the 2019 Cup of Nations in Egypt, as well as goalkeeper Ernest Sowah who used the number during the 2015 AFCON.
Korsah will look forward to making his Black Stars debut at the Baba Yara sports stadium tonight against Nigeria, or latest by Tuesday when the two teams face off again for the return fixture in Abuja.
