Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum has disclosed the number of matches the Brazilian midfield gent, Fabio Dos Santos Gama need to play for match fitness.
The Brazilian International has played just ten games this season, having missed the 13 fixtures for the Porcupines due to injury in the Ghana Premier League.
The 29-year old midfielder played 61 minutes for the league leaders in their 1-0 victory over King Faisal on Sunday.
Gama has appeared not to be as a sharp person as compared to the previous season but coach Prosper Ogum insists playing six matches will help him to regain his performance and get back to his best.
“Am sure if you are to go by the test book, six games he should be ready. By six games he should be picking and by then am sure by the second, third game we will see a better of him because he’s lacking game fitness so his orientation on the field is slow and not that good. His vision, his awareness, his combination plays are not the best as typical of the Gama that we all know so I will pudding him for that and am sure as I talk to him and I give him the confidence and I give him more games to play, he will be the Gama we used to know last season.” Coach Ogum stated after King Faisal victory.
