Accra Hearts of Oak target Konadu Yiadom, captain of WAFA has been named in the club’s starting lineup against Ashanti Gold in the match week 24 league game on Saturday.
Konadu was widely rumoured to have signed official contract with premier League defending champions Accra Hearts of Oak, and was due for official announcement.
However, Administrative Management member of the WAFA team told ghanasportspage.com on Friday that the centre back is still under contract with WAFA, and had not penned any deal with the Phobians as speculated.
We reported on Friday, that Konadu Yiadom was among the WAFA squad that traveled to Obuasi for the match against Ashanti Gold on Saturday, and that has been confirmed.
The 21-year old defender has been named in the starting XI of WAFA to face the Miners at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on Saturday afternoon.
As a matter of fact, this is the second time in a run that Konadu has been named in WAFA starting XI, having started the match against Aduana Stars last week at Sogakope in the 1-1 draw.
