The Porcupines are back in action this afternoon against survival-seeking WAFA in Sogakope.
The league leaders are set to recover from two straight defeats to RTU and Legon Cities as they aim to pip the relegation battling side in a heavyweight clash.
On paper, everything favors Asante Kotoko to win the game but it will be difficult for them despite WAFA’s poor run. The academy boys are strong at their backyard when playing against the Reds and the last time they lost to the GPL record winners was way back in 2017.
Ahead of the encounter, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has made some changes in the first team that started against Legon Cities in Kumasi Asante in the previous fixture.
Left-back, Charles Owusu, Mudasiru Salifu, and Stephen Amankona have all been handed a starting role ahead of Dickson Afoakwa, Richard Boadu, and Imoro Salifu who is not part of the full squad.
Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, Christopher Nettey, Etouga Mbella, Georges Mfegue, and Fabio Gama have all retained their positions.
