The technical team of the Ghana U-20 national team, Black Satellites led by Coach Abdul Karim Zito have named 20-man squad for the trip to Niger for the upcoming WAFU Zone B tournament.
The defending champions departed from the Kotoka International Airport this morning for the competition.
Ghana were crowned champions of the last edition with the likes of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Fatawu Issahaku, Mathew Anim Kudjoe, Precious Boah and Danlad Ibrahim.
Ahead of the upcoming edition,
the new set up are aiming to defend the title and compete at the U-20 AFCON in Egypt.
In the squad, Anane Vicent of Legon Cities will be competing with Gregory Obeng Sekyre ( Berekum Chelsea) and Nana Yeboah ( Hearts Of Oaks) for the number one spot.
Right-back are Narh Gilbert (Golden Strikers), Augustine Agyeapong ( Kotoko) and Favour Akweh ( Sempafi) These are the right-backs trusted to do the job for Ghana.
The attackers will be Mustapha Yakubu (Hearts of Lions), Zubeiru Ibrahim (King Faisal), Anor Emmanuel (Bechem United), Mohammed Yahaya (Tamale City) and Alex Opoku (Benab FC). Ghana will compete against their West African rivals, Nigeria and Burkina Faso in Group B of the competition which begins on the 7th day of this month.
