Former U-20 AFCON winner and Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim says the current Ghana U-20 national team, the Black Satellites is good but it is unfortunate they lost their first game against Nigeria.
The defending champions started their journey with 2-0 defeat to the Flying Eagles of Nigeria following the goals from Ibrahim Muhammed and Ahmed Abdullai.
The young goalkeeper was a member of the squad that won the previous edition of the sub-regional competition and went on to win the African U20 Cup of Nations in 2021.
Speaking about the current team via Ghanasportspage.com, the former U-20 goalkeeper stated, “The current team is very good as we did but is unfortunate we lost our first game against Nigeria.”
“What I can say is, all Ghanaians should help them in prayers to win our last game to qualify for the AFCON” Danlad ended.
The Black Satellites will play their next game with Burkina Faso on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Stade de General-Senyi-Kountse in Niger.
