Former GPL side, Inter Allies have filed appeal in match manipulation sanction.
Inter Allies on Tuesday filed a formal appeal with the Ghana Football Association’s Appeals Committee, challenging the match manipulation sanction.
According to the Division One League side their appeal is against the decision of the D.C. sanctioning by demoting the club to the Division Two League and the payment of a GHC 100,000.00 fine.
Inter Allies were demoted to Division 2 on Monday by the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee for playing a fixed match with Ashanti Gold last season.
Reports indicated that the two teams fixed a game that could end in a 5-1 scoreline in favour of the Miners but it eventually ended in a 7-0 scoreline.
The GFA announced their verdict after eight months demoting both clubs to Division 2 on Monday.
