A young Ghanaian goalkeeper has been crashed to death at Gomoa Anteadze on the Apam-Mankessim Highway, after a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number GW 9836-21 knocked him down.
An information gathered indicates that the 17-year-old goalkeeper, identified as Yaw Abedi, from Gomoa Nglesi, was crossing the road to pick a ball that had crossed the highway in a friendly between Gomoa Odumasi and Gomoa Nglesi football teams.
In an interview with Adom News, Unit Committee Member for Gomoa Odumasi, Ebenezer Abrokwaa, revealed that the goalkeeper met his untimely death barely 15 minutes after the commencement of the game.
He revealed the ball went out side the pitch after a long shot from one of the players, which ended in a goal.
