Division Two side, Na God Football Club have earned historic promotion to the Ghanaian second-tier, Division One League.
The Accra-based lower side sealed their promotion to the league for the first time after edging Port City 2-1 on Friday afternoon in the Division Two three-teams mini competition organized by the Ghana Football Association to replace demoted Inter Allies.
The newly-promoted side opened the tourney with a 3-0 win over Agbobga FC two days ago.
Na God replaces Inter Allies in zone 3 of the Division One (1) League after today’s 2-1 triumph over Port City at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Inter Allies were demoted into the Division 2 League after being found guilty of match-fixing with Ashantigold SC in the 2020/21 season.
The 2022/23 Division One League is set to kick off on the weekend of September 30 across the various zones.
The fixtures for the upcoming season are yet to be released by the Ghana Football Association and the Division One League Board.
