Newly-promoted GPL side Oda Kotoku Royals opened the Division One League Super Cup with a goal victory over Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Kyebi Astroturf in Group A match-day 1.
The Royals showed their resoluteness kind courtesy the lone goal from their all time top scorer, Dzikoe Richard at the 7th minute.
Dzikoe, known as Oda Vinicius brilliantly scored with a classic assist from Augustine Boakye to snatch first win for their newly-appointed gaffers Seth Ablade and Akakpo Patron.
Despite conceding an early goal, the former Cape Coast-based Premiership side, Dwarfs had some great chances to restore parity but they found it difficult to find the back of the net.
They came close with a gifted opportunity at the 38th but the poor finishing from Richard Addai saw them remaining at the bottom line.
They however, came back strong in the second half but the Royals made great organization at their defense to protect the only goal scored in the first.
Dwarfs will face Liberty Professionals in their second group game whiles the Oda-based side faces Nsoatremang.
The Royals are on top of the table in Group A with 3 points. Nsoatremang and Liberty Professionals are having one point each after drawing 1-1 in the first game of the day whiles Dwarfs sit on the fourth position with no point.
