Black Galaxies haed coach, Annor Walker has named his 40-man provisional squad for the CHAN tournament in 2023.
The Ghanaian side managed to qualify for the first time since 2014 after beating Benin and Nigeria.
The Black Galaxies of Ghana have been paired with Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar in Group.
The players called include Black Stars duo, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Ibrahim Danlad.
With few months to commence the competition, Annor Walker’s side will commence preparations at the Ghana Soccer Center of Excellence in due time and will subsequently cut down the squad down to the main one.
Five players of Hearts of Oak including Gladson Awako and Korsah were named in the preliminary squad while Kotoko had only two of their players being called.
However, Hearts of Oak deputy captain, Mohammed Alhassan who played a key during the qualifiers has been axed from the squad.
The seventh edition of the competition will be played in Algeria from January 13th to February 4th 2023.
