Angry Hearts of Oak fans have turned Fatawu Mohammed’s hand-to-mouth statement against him following his bombshell interview with Sports Obama Tv.
The long-serving Phobian captain disclosed that he earned nothing despite his ten years of service to the club and couldn’t even buy a bicycle with his salary at Hearts of Oak.
“I didn’t get even a bicycle from Hearts of Oak. I bought my car with Black Stars qualification bonus. The only thing I earned from Hearts of Oak was the call-up I had to the Black Stars but I couldn’t buy anything with my salary at Hearts of Oak. It was a hand-to-mouth salary.”
This comment has divided opinion among the supporters but the majority exposed the defender and decorated him as ungrateful.
They, however, revealed he was receiving ¢7,000 as a monthly salary.
The defender has been told he has no future with the Phobians and it means Fatau will almost certainly never play for the club again. It is understood the 30-year-old has been instructed to find a new club.
But the fans are sad to hear this comment from a player who has been in the club for ten.
Fatawu has one year left on his deal with Accra Hearts of Oak, having signed a two-year contract extension last season.
