Aduana Stars have extended their lead over defending champions Asante Kotoko at the top of the BetPawa Premier League table to after beating Kotoku Royals 2-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa on week 12 of the BetPawa Premier League.
Emmanuel Gyamfi and Anokye Badu fired the league leaders two goals ahead of the visitors before half time.
They dominated without scoring in the second half but their dominant display ensured they earned the three points over the visitors who recorded their second Premier League win against Brekum Chelsea over the weekend.
The result leaves Aduana Stars 4 points clear ahead of third-placed Asante Kotoko while Kotoku sit last on the league table with seven points.
In Accra, Great Olympics came from behind to draw 2-2 with Bibiani Gold Stars.
The Dade Boys played out a dramatic 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko over the weekend, and things continued in much the same way as a late goals from Emmanuel Antwi and Ayitey Ayikwei cancelled out Bibiani Gold Stars two goals scored by Richmond Opoku and Ebenezer Aboagye.
It leaves Gold Stars in third place on 19 points – level with Hearts of Oak and Accra Lions.
Elsewhere, Real Tamale United managed a 3-1 win over Accra Lions at home to return to winning ways.
The Tamale boys won courtesy of Issah Kukah, Mohammed Hardi and Sadat Karim at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
Abass Samari scored the only goal for the Accra side.
On the league table, RTU sit sixth with 18 points – 1 point behind Accra Lions on the league table.
