The head coach of Legon Cities FC, Maxwell Konadu has reacted to his team’s lose against Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The experienced tactician led his team to a painful 3-1 defeat against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium after Alex Esso gave his side the lead in the first.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Maxwell Konadu said his team deserved the win after exhibiting signs of winning the game at the early stages of the game.
“It was a good start for us in terms of how we wanted to play our game. We started very well. We dominated and created some decent chances then we took the lead.”
“We allowed Bechem to come back in the game which wasn’t good for us and in the end they took their chances well and they won.”
“It is a bit worrying because we have now gone some matches without winning at home and we need to quickly turn things around.”
The home side grabbed the lead through Alex Aso who finished off with a very fine goal.
“It was a good goal from Alex Aso, that is a trademark goal from him. He has been practicing a lot like this in training, so I am not surprised.”
Legon Cities FC have also extended their winless run to five and are still occupying the 10th spot with 17 points and will face off with city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
