Former Accra Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed has been linked with a move to Ghana Premier League side Karela United.
The 30-year-old has been available since the end of 2022 following a controversial departure from Hearts of Oak in December.
Coach Slavko Matic ruthlessly dropped Fatawu Mohammed from his plans after the CAF Confederations Cup and was instructed to look for a new club, bringing an end to his ten-year stint with the Rainbows.
He was reportedly joining an Egyptian side but reports have emerged on Thursday morning that he is set to join the Anyinaase-based club.
Karela United may be set to get their wish of more additions for their squad for the second round of the league.
They will be hopeful that things can change on deadline day, with the last chance to sign the former Hearts captain on Friday.
