The much anticipated game of this season’s MTN FA Cup is set to kick off this afternoon as Kotoko make the trip to face Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in the round of 16 of the competition.
Asante Kotoko will continue their journey in a bid to win the title after six years without goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim, Rashid Nortey, Maxwell Agyemang, Justice Blay, Dickson Afoakwa, Yusif Mubarik, Patrick Asmah, Isaac Oppong, and Enoch Morrision.
They will approach the game with the likes of Frederick Asare, Georges Mfegue, Steven Mukwala, Richmond Lamptey, Richard Boadu, Augustine Agyapong, Mohammed Alhassan and others.
The Porcupine Warriors are unbeaten in their last three meetings against Aduana Stars in all competitions but they are winless in their last seven away games.
It will be a tough test for Coach Seydou Zerbo’s side as they face Aduana side, who are yet to lose at home this season in all competitions.
The Ghanaian champions have to be at their very best to win and advance to the next stage in the FA Cup for the first time since 2017.
