BetPawa PL Week 21 Wrap Up: Leaders Aduana Stars cruise back to winning ways, struggling Kotoku Royals stun Bechem United, Hearts and Gold Stars share spoils

Bibiani Gold Stars 1 – 1 Accra Hearts of Oak

Bibiani Gold Stars held President’s Cup champions Hearts of Oak to a 1-1 draw at the Dun’s Park on Saturday.

Hearts of Oak fell behind in the fourth minute when ex-Kotoko left-back Evans Owusu scored a trademark goal but the Rainbows fought to pick a point through Isaac Mensah’s last minute header.

The results leaves Hearts in fourth place with 32 points.

Aduana Stars 1 – 0 Medeama SC

Aduana Stars also bounced back from last weekend’s defeat against Samartex to open up a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League thanks to a 1-0 win over Medeama SC on Sunday at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

The hosts were initially frustrated by their visitors but the goal from Kelvin Owusu before halftime gave the host the maximum points.

The Fire Boys are first on the league table with 39 points.

Kotoku Royals 3 – 1 Bechem United

In Dawu, struggling Kotoku Royals stunned Bechem United with a 3-1 scoreline. Collins Kudjoe, Francis Andy Kumi and Dzikoe Richard got the three goals for the debutants in the game before Kofi Agbesima pulled one back for the visitors in the second half.

Kotoku Royals are in still in 18th place with 17 points, seven points from safety. Bechem United are 3rd with 33 points.

Karela United 1 – 0 Nsoatreman FC

Abdul Rahman Yahaya also handed Karela United all three points at the CAM Park over Nsoatreman FC.

The Anyinaase-based club will host Accra Hearts of Oak in their next fixture in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Berekum Chelsea 1 – 0 Legon Cities

Berekum Chelsea returned to winning ways after beating Legon Cities at home. Flaven Kongoza’s goal was enough to snatch the three points for the hosts against the Royals.

Great Olympics 0 – 0 FC Samartex

Great Olympics and FC Samartex shared the spoils in their clash in Accra.

The draw means Olympics have failed to win their last two games after beating Accra Hearts of Oak on week 18.

RTU 0 – 0 Tamale City

The Tamale derby between Real Tamale United and Tamale City also ended 0-0.

In a very even affair where both sides had chances, neither could find that clinical edge to snatch all three points.
