Former champions of the Ghana Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak resumed training on Monday afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s game.
The President’s Cup holders will be back in action on Wednesday as they look to down high-flying Accra Lions on week week 24 of the Ghanaian top-flight.
The Rainbows have won all their last four meetings against their city rivals in all competitions since 2021. Hearts of Oak claimed a 3-1 victory in their previous meeting in the current campaign at the Accra Sports Stadium – thanks to goals from ex-Great Olympics skipper Gladson Awako, Salifu Ibrahim and Benjamin Yorke.
After last weekend’s away defeat, the Rainbows will be hoping to ease back to winning ways against a side, that has joined the race for the league title. The Lions sit second on the league table with 38 points – just two points behind leaders Aduana Stars.
“Team Hearts resumed training this afternoon ahead of our Midweek match against Accra Lions FC. We shall bounce back,” the team stated on their official Twitter page.
The game will kick off at 3:00pm at the Accra Sports Stadium. Hearts of Oak currently rank sixth with 35 points.
