The Rainbows will need to rely on the surrounding teams to drop points on Sunday if they want to maintain their position.
Hearts were cruising in a dominant performance but they missed the chance to close the gap on Aduana Stars.
The result leaves Hearts of Oak in fourth place with 39 points, Dreams FC at 11th place after 25 games.
