Top Ghanaian sports journalist, Nana Kwaku Mensah popularly known as King Kaninja has conquered the internet after Real Madrid’s impressive win over Barcelona on Wednesday evening.
The award winning journalist correctly predicted that the European Champions would need the services of Karim Benzema to humble their bitterest rivals.
Kaninja, who works with Ignite Media in Accra made the prediction on Wednesday morning and tipped Benzema to finish the Blaugranas via Original FM’s Super Sports Show.
“I am scared of this game because of Karim Benzema who has 22 goals in all competitions this season. Madrid just need only fit and a firing Karim Benzema to finish Barcelona today. It will not be the same today like how Barcelona got the chance to win 1-0 in the first leg. The inclusion of Benzema changes the dynamics of Real Madrid.”
The French forward bagged a hat-trick as Barca were humbled in their own back yard in the Copa del Rey semi-final return leg.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Madrid levelled the tie through Vinicius Jr in first-half stoppage time before Benzema scored a second half hat-trick to seal a 4-0 win for the visitors.
The 35-year-old has seemingly improved since turning 30 and is regarded as Real Madrid’s most important player.
The Whites will now face Osasuna in the final on 6 May.
