Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be looking to get back to winning ways when the host Tamale City this evening at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Tamale City, who have lost just one of their last five league games will also look to build on their impressive 4-1 win over Accra Hearts of Oak and extend their unbeaten run to four. The Citizens are currently thirteenth in the Premier League table.
For Kotoko, this evening’s clash represent an opportunity to prove they can still win the league despite their shocking 2-0 defeat to Great Olympics on last Thursday.
A win would lift them from 6th to 4th but they shouldn’t take the Tamale boys for granted.
Coach Abdulai Gazale will be expected to make some few changes to his team and field a strong line-up in front of their home crowd, starting with Frederick Asare in goal.
Mohammed Alhassan will keep his place in defence alongside John Tedeku, Yusif Mubarik and Augustine Agyapong.
In midfield, the Porcupine Warriors will welcome long-term absentee Rashid Nortey back into the field. He is expected to fill in for Eric Zeze, who has been dropped from the squad. Richard Boadu and Enoch Morrison will complete the midfield-three.
In attack, Matheus de Souza should return after he missed the game against the Dade Boys. The Brazilian will partner Steven Mukwala and Dickson Afoakwa.
Georges Mfegue, Isaac Oppong and Richmond Lamptey are not available for this game.
