Kpando Heart of Lions have secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League with six games to spare.
The team’s promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight after eight years was confirmed after Sunday’s round of matches in Zone 3.
18 wins and two draws from 24 games has taken the 2009 SWAG Cup winners 16 points clear of second-placed Vision FC, who lost 2-0 to Attram de Visser.
Heart of Lions were relegated from the elite division in the 2014 /15 season, and has since been competing in the second tier.
They began the 2022/23 campaign with six wins and two draws from their first 8 matches, and had only three defeats between October and March.
It has been a season to remember for the two-time GHALCA Top-4 champions.
The Lions top Zone 3 with 56 points. They will take on Golden Kicks at the Tema Sports Stadium this afternoon.
