Brazilian midfielder, Fabio Gama has jumped to the defence of Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah, as he openly hits back at his critics.
The young football administrator continues to face questions regarding his performance as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghanaian giants.
A section of fans of Asante Kotoko have criticized the managerial prowess of the CEO blaming him for the club’s recent poor form as well as unwillingness on the part of the fans to attend matches.
But Fabio Gama, who spent two seasons with the Porcupine Warriors stood by his ex-boss during an exclusive with Ghanasportspage.com.
“He is very good and a very good guy so I don’t know why they are criticizing him.
“I don’t know the reason behind it. He is doing a great job. With his help I believe that Nana will keep on working and get Kotoko better always and always,” says Fabio Gama.
The stylish midfielder parted company with Asante Kotoko after helping them to lift the GPL last season.
He joined the Porcupine Warriors as a free agent in 2020 and left in July 2022 following the expiration of his contract.
He currently plies his trade with Bahraini giants Muharraq Club.
