The success story of Simms College winning the Ashanti region Inter Schools Competition continues to attract well wishes and favours from people and institutions.
The latest to visit the school is George Prempeh, also known as Baashaaka, a businessman at Suame Magazine, who is also an old student of the school. Simms won the event at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after defeating Okess on penalties last week
Baashaaka visited the school and met teachers, players and the technical team of the football team to congratulate them on their success. He asked them not to abandon their academic exercise but to strive to combine both sports and academic work, adding that they should never forget to be disciplined to propel them to higher heights. He later presented an undisclosed cash to the players and a separate one for the technical team.

The excited players and their teachers were grateful and pledged to do more to achieve success for their school.
Baashaaka had earlier before meeting the football team also visited the Science and Maths Quiz team of the School and made a similar gesture to them, while also promising to take care of certain needs that will help them perform better in the national event after Simms lost the regional event to Kumasi Anglican Senior High School.
